Corbin’s research focuses broadly on addressing the trauma in the lives of survivors of violence, especially boys and men of color for whom violence is a leading cause of disability and death. Corbin also co-directed the Center for Nonviolence and Social Justice at Drexel University School of Public Health, where he held a joint appointment in the Department of Health Management and Policy.ĭr. He also served as the co-founder and medical director of “Healing Hurt People,” an emergency department-based, trauma-informed intervention for survivors of intentional injury.
